What level do most gymnasts get to?
Elite Level Gymnastics Gymnasts can get to the elite program by going through the Junior Olympic levels 1-10 or by competing in the TOPS program. The TOPS program is how most Olympic gymnasts get to the Elite level, and how they get there at such a young age!
What do Level 10 gymnasts do?
Level 10 is the highest level in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympics Program. The level is open to women’s artistic, men’s artistic, trampoline, acrobatic and rhythmic gymnasts.

Is there a level 5 in gymnastics?
Level 5 is the second gymnastics level that gymnasts are required to compete. Level 5 is a compulsory level, so each gymnast does the same routine. To compete in level 5 gymnastics, a gymnast must have reached her 7th birthday before her first meet and be able to do the following skills on each of the four events.
Is Level 9 Gymnastics good?
Level 9 is an incredible accomplishment. It can also be tricky to understand. Each event begins with a 9.7 SV, and in Level 9 gymnasts must earn bonus points through connecting elements in order to bring their routines up to a 10.0 SV.
How does a gymnast advance in USA Gymnastics?
They must advance one level at a time by scoring the minimum mobility score at any USA Gymnastics sanctioned competition (Exception: Levels 1-3 do not have a mobility score). A gymnast may not advance to Level 4 until she has completed the requirements as listed in the Entry and Mobility chart (page 79).

Can a gymnast go to a Level 4?
A gymnast may not advance to Level 4 until she has completed the requirements as listed in the Entry and Mobility chart (page 79). Levels 1-3: Some states have an organized Level 1-3 competitive program with sanctioned events.
How many state meets do gymnasts have to compete in?
In order to compete in a sanctioned competition, an athlete must be a registered USA Gymnastics Athlete Member or Introductory Athlete Member (Levels 1-2 & Xcel). A gymnast may compete in a maximum of two (2) State meets per competitive year (one per season), either at the same or higher Level.
