Call a wildlife rehabilitator. If you find a baby wild mouse (or an empty nest of baby mice), call your local wildlife rehabilitation office. Transferring the baby mouse to a wildlife professional is the best chance it has for survival. In the meantime, there are things you can do to try to keep the baby alive.
What do wild baby mice eat?

- Hamster food moistened with formula or goat’s milk.
- Kitten food (moistened).
- Human baby food (homemade or store-bought).
- Soft cooked vegetables like squash, peas, or carrots.

You can make your own rice or oat “milk” by squeezing the water from the cooked rice or oats through a clean cloth. I would mix the oat or rice milk with some other formula for babies that may be fussy eaters. Pedialyte is good place to start as the baby will very likely be dehydrated.
